Elizabeth Packard Arnold, Soprano
Adjunct Instructor - Voice
Elizabeth Packard Arnold appears regularly as soprano soloist in oratorio and early music performances in the Southeast.
She has performed with the Raleigh Oratorio Society, Greensboro Choral Society, Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, Emory
University Chorus and Orchestra, the Gwinnett Philharmonic. She frequently performs with the New Trinity Baroque
Ensemble, and recent performances with this Atlanta-based group include Monteverdi's Vespers, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, several Bach cantatas, and the solo cantatas of Handel. Her many sacred solo performances
include: Monteverdi's Selve e morale, Vivaldi's Gloria, J. S. Bach's Magnificat and Cantatas
4, 51, 64, 100, 106, 194, and 202, Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem, Haydn's Mass in Time of War, Lord Nelson Mass, and Missa Brevis, Beethoven's Choral Fantasia, Schubert's Mass in G,
Saint-Saëns's Christmas Oratorio, and Fauré's Requiem.
She has studied German oratorio at the Benjamin Britten–Peter Pears School in Aldeburgh, England with Kurt Equiluz,
Ruth Drucker, and Alastair Ross. She has also performed in masterclasses or coached with David Adams, John Aler,
Julianne Baird, Elizabeth Colson, Kenneth Griffiths, Gwen Halstead, Warren Jones, William McGraw, Richard Miller,
Gail Robinson, Evelyn Tubb, Nancy Walker, and members of the American Bach Soloists. She is completing work toward
her Doctor of Musical Arts in voice performance with Tom Baresel at the University of Cincinnati–College Conservatory
of Music. She served as an Artist-Affiliate in voice at Emory University from 1994 until 2003, when she assumed
teaching duties in voice at the University of Kentucky in September 2003.
